The prophet's fiery word has come home; "Thou art the man!" The shock of that stunning and awakening deathblow thou couldst not stand, were it not for thy simple confession, "I have sinned against the Lord," being met with the instant assurance, "The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die" (2 Samuel 12:13).
