Our Holy Songs - Charles Spurgeon

If we do not lift our eyes and our hearts to Him, we are but misusing words and wasting time. Our praise is not as it should be if it is not reverently directed to the Lord of Hosts. It is vain to shoot arrows without a target; we must aim exclusively for God's glory in our holy songs.
Taken from the book Spurgeon on Praise Charles Spurgeon 1834-1892
